Ciel Dubai Marina: The World’s Tallest Hotel, A New Icon in the Sky

Reading Time : 2 minutes

Dubai is set to add another marvel to its skyline with the completion of Ciel Dubai Marina, the world’s tallest hotel. Designed by Yahya Jan of NORR, the tower will stand at an impressive 365 meters, featuring over 1,000 rooms and suites spread across 82 floors. This ambitious project, slated for completion in 2024, will offer luxury, breathtaking views, and architectural innovation, redefining the standard for high-rise hotels.

Built on a compact triangular plot of land, the challenges in designing Ciel were immense, yet Jan’s vision for the tower blends cutting-edge engineering with sleek modern architecture. The glass observation deck on the rooftop will provide 360-degree views of the city, the coastline, and iconic landmarks like Palm Jumeirah. Visitors can also indulge in the rooftop swimming pool and dining experiences, elevating their stay to new heights, both literally and figuratively.

Ciel is not only visually stunning but also environmentally conscious. The building’s design incorporates energy-efficient systems, using 25% less power for air conditioning compared to similar buildings. For Jan, the project represents the convergence of science and art—an expression of his passion for architecture that transcends functionality, aiming to create a timeless structure.

As Jan reflects on his nearly three decades in Dubai, Ciel marks a pinnacle in his legacy. He envisions the tower as a timeless icon, much like the Empire State Building in New York. With Ciel, Dubai continues to push the boundaries of architectural innovation, solidifying its place as a global leader in luxury and design.
