Sara Shakeel\u2019s \u201cThe Jewel System\u201d is a striking personal exhibition that brings together digital art and the intricate beauty of South Asian embroidery. Marking her debut in Hong Kong, the show is being held at ArtisTree and Two Taikoo Place from March 22 to April 27, 2025. The two centerpiece installations, \u201cThe Jewel System\u201d and \u201cGenesis in Jewels,\u201d invite visitors into a space where cosmic themes are grounded in tactile craftsmanship and visual splendor.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Jewel System\u201d offers a life-sized reinterpretation of our solar system. Shakeel transforms this familiar structure into a deeply immersive work, blending scientific awe with handmade detail. The planets are adorned with more than 3.9 million ethically sourced crystals and 40 million hand-embroidered stitches, created by over 80 artisans from Pakistan. The result is a delicate and grand reinterpretation of the universe, charged with both precision and poetry.<\/p>\n

\u201cGenesis in Jewels\u201d takes a different path, venturing into the moment of creation itself\u2014the Big Bang. It\u2019s both a scientific metaphor and a personal story, rendered in a language of texture and shimmer.<\/p>\n
