For the first time, Tesla’s Model Y has been included in the Chinese government’s official purchase list, marking a significant milestone for Elon Musk’s company. This inclusion means that the government of Jiangsu province, along with its various agencies and public institutions, can now procure Tesla’s electric vehicles (EVs) for official use. The Model Y is the only foreign-owned EV on the list, which also features other domestic models such as those from Volvo, owned by China’s Geely, and state-owned SAIC\u200b\u200b.<\/strong><\/p>\n
