A secret not to copy the logo<\/strong><\/h3>\n

During the First World War, Bentley’s history was strongly associated with aviation. Indeed, the creator of the brand had developed a plane engine recognized worldwide. Hence the logo with the wings, the famous “Flying B”. But to avoid copying it, Walter Owen Bentley had the idea to put 10 feathers on the left wing and 11 on the right wing. This detail of connoisseurs is almost invisible. And yet, when you count the feathers … you will see that we do not tell you lies!

\nThe “personal” car of 007 was a Bentley<\/strong><\/h3>\n

All movie buffs and car enthusiasts will easily answer this question: “What is James Bond’s favorite brand? “Aston Martin of course! Well, no … Did you know that in the first novel, Ian Fleming writes: “About cars, Bond had a lot of fun. He had bought, almost new, one of the last 4-liter Bentley, with compressor Amherst Villiers. “<\/p>\n

Bentley has the largest solar panel carrier in the UK<\/strong><\/h3>\n

To erase a little bit the consumption of their noble W12 and other V8, Bentley has invested heavily in solar panels for its plant in Crewe. Thanks to its 30,815 units, the plant can be supplied with up to 40% renewable energy. In addition, these solar panels serve as car port!<\/p>\n

Bentley belonged to … Rolls-Royce<\/strong><\/h3>\n

You were probably aware of this historical fact but it is amusing to know, that in 1931, these two almost competitive brands advanced hand in hand, sharing chassis. Today, Bentley belongs to the Volkswagen group and Rolls-Royce is under the BMW tread.<\/p>\n

Bentley Won “Le Mans 24 Hours”<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In 1924, 1927, 1928, 1929 and 1930 Bentley won the then only race of 24 hours at the famous “Le Mans”… During the 1920s Bentley was outstandingly successful in both racing and setting new speed records, grabbing many front page headlines. Bentley first won Le Mans in 1924. From 1927 to 1930 Bentley won each year. W.O. was clear in his reasons for supporting motor racing – gaining publicity, generating sales and establishing the Bentley marque. \u201cI would have been perfectly content to see our cars circulating <\/strong><\/em>round Le Mans in inglorious solo solitude as long as the Daily Mail gave us their front page on a Monday morning!\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
