The Venice Simplon Orient Express (VSOE) is a luxury train service that operates between London and Venice, with various stops along the way. The VSOE was inspired by the original Orient Express, which was a long-distance passenger train service that operated from 1883 to 2009. The original Orient Express was named after the “Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits”, the company that operated the train.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was founded in 1982 by James B. Sherwood, a British entrepreneur and railway enthusiast. Sherwood had always been fascinated by the glamour and mystique of the original Orient Express, and he saw an opportunity to recreate that experience for modern travelers.<\/p>\n

Initially operating only on a seasonal basis, running from March to November each year. However, due to its popularity, it now operates year-round.<\/p>\n

As a luxury train, with all of the amenities and comforts that one would expect. Each passenger cabin is decorated in a style that evokes the glamour and elegance of the 1920s and 1930s. The train also has a bar car, a dining car, and a lounge car, which are all decorated in the same style.<\/p>\n
