Most historians consider the ride a myth, but the story, first recorded in the 12th century and later immortalized by Alfred, Lord Tennyson in an 1840 poem, became one of the most recognizable legends in English folklore.

Nine centuries later, that legend gave its name to the world’s most famous Belgian chocolate brand.
